Nylon polyamide

Polyamide, the polyamide fiber, is the general name of polyamide fiber produced in China.

Nylon is internationally known.

It has high strength, good abrasion resistance and good resilience. It can be pure spinning and blending for various fabrics and knitwear.

The main varieties are nylon 6 and nylon 66, and their physical properties are not very different.

The moisture absorption and dyeing properties of nylon are better than those of polyester, alkali resistant and acid proof. Fiber strength will decrease when exposed to sunlight for a long time.

Nylon has heat setting characteristics and can maintain the bending deformation formed during heating.

Nylon filament can be made into elastic yarn, and short silk can be blended with cotton and acrylic to improve its strength and elasticity. Besides its application in clothing and decoration, it is also widely used in industry, such as cord, pmission belt, hose, rope, fishing net and so on.

performance

Strong and wearable, the home has the first fiber.

Its wear resistance is 10 times of cotton fiber, 10 times of dry viscose fiber and 140 times of wet fiber.

Therefore, its durability is excellent.

Nylon fabric has excellent resilience and resilience, but it is easy to deform under small external forces, so its fabric is variable and wrinkled during its wearing.

Poor ventilation and permeability, easy to generate static electricity.

The moisture absorbency of nylon fabrics is better in synthetic fabrics, so the garments made of nylon are more comfortable than those of polyester fabrics.

It has good resistance to borer and corrosion.

Heat and light resistance are not good enough. The temperature should be controlled below 140 C.

Attention should be paid to the conditions of washing and maintenance during the wearing process, so as not to damage the fabric.

Nylon fabrics are light fabrics. They are only made of polypropylene and acrylic fabrics in synthetic fabrics. Therefore, they are suitable for making mountaineering clothes and winter clothing.

classification

Nylon fiber fabrics can be divided into three categories: pure spinning, blending and interwoven fabrics, each of which contains many varieties.

1. nylon pure textiles

All kinds of fabrics made of nylon yarn, such as nylon taffeta, nylon crepe, etc.

Woven with nylon filament, it has the characteristics of smooth handle, firm durability and moderate price. It also has the disadvantage of wrinkling and uneasy recovery.

Nylon taffeta is mainly used for making light clothing, down clothing or raincoat, while nylon crepe is suitable for summer dress, spring and autumn shirt and so on.

2. nylon blended and interwoven fabrics

The fabric obtained by blending or interweaving nylon filament or staple fiber with other fibers has both the characteristics and advantages of each fiber.

Such as viscose / Jinhua Da, it is made of 15% nylon and 85% viscose blended yarn. It is twice as thick as dense weft, which is thick, durable and durable. Its disadvantages are poor elasticity, easy wrinkle, wet strength drop, and easy to sag when worn.

In addition, there are varieties of sticky / Vari Martin, sticky / brocade / woolen cloth, all of which are commonly used fabrics.

The most common nylon products in the market are nylon 6 and nylon 66.

Nylon 6: the full name is polycaprolactam fiber, it is polymerized from caprolactam.

Nylon 66: the full name is polyhexyl two hexadiamine fiber, which is polymerized by adipic acid and hexamethylene diamine.

The common characteristics of nylon 6 and nylon 66 are poor light resistance. The strength decreases and the color is yellow when exposed to sunlight and ultraviolet light for a long time. The heat resistance is not good enough. At 150 degrees Celsius, it becomes yellow after 5 hours, and the strength and elongation decrease significantly, and the shrinkage rate increases.

Nylon 6 and 66 filament have good low temperature resistance, and their resilience is not changed at 70 degrees below zero.

Its DC conductivity is very low. During processing, it is easy to generate static electricity due to friction. Its electrical conductivity increases with the increase of moisture absorption rate, and increases with the increase of humidity.

Nylon 6 and 66 filament have strong ability to resist microorganisms. Their ability to resist microorganisms in silt water or alkali is second only to that of polyvinyl chloride.

In terms of chemical properties, nylon 6 and 66 filament have alkali resistance and reductant resistance, but their performance is poor in acid resistance and oxidant resistance.
