    Shenyang Normal University It is located in Shenyang, a famous historical and cultural city with backward civilization in Liaoning Province, and is one of the key normal universities directly under Liaoning Province. The Academy of Fine Arts and Design is affiliated to Shenyang Normal University. Its predecessor is the Art Department of Shenyang Normal University. Later, it merged with Liaoning Art Preschool Normal School to form the Art Branch of Shenyang Normal University. In 2003, the Clothing Department and the Fine Arts Department of Liaoning Education College were merged into Shenyang Normal University. While the Normal University is constantly improving, the Academy of Fine Arts and Design has taken a proud step forward and completed the development and expansion step by step.
    
 
The Academy of Fine Arts and Design currently has fine arts, painting Art Design 3 undergraduate majors, 11 professional directions, 1 Master of Fine Arts, 1 Master of Education, and 1 Master of Arts. It has six departments, namely, the Department of Fine Arts Education, the Department of Painting, the Department of Environmental Arts, the Department of Visual Design, the Department of Animation Design, and the Department of Display Design, and four research centers, namely, the National Culture Research Center, the Visual Arts Research Center, the Large Theme Creation Center, and the Animation Arts Development Center, forming a teaching system of fine arts and design education with diverse disciplines and school running levels. At present, the college has 1203 full-time undergraduate students, 105 postgraduate students and 10 international students.
The college has a team of teachers with high quality, strong business, reasonable structure and rigorous teaching. There are 90 teaching staff, including 6 professors, 4 external teachers and 25 associate professors. Teachers with master's degree or above account for nearly 50% of the total number of teachers. In addition, the college also introduced some influential experts from home and abroad to teach, including the famous Chinese painter Xu Yong, the famous oil painter Guang Tingbo, Situ An from Britain, Bud from the United States, and He Ying and Zhuo Min from Japan.
    
   
The college insists on the simultaneous development of teaching and scientific research and has achieved fruitful results. In recent years, it has undertaken a number of design and construction projects for large-scale exhibition activities, more than 10 national, ministerial and horizontal scientific research topics, published 25 textbooks and works, 50 monographs, published more than 150 academic papers in national core journals, more than 300 works, and more than 80 excellent creative works won gold, silver and bronze awards in national professional art and design exhibitions, 10 design series textbooks have been included in the National 11th Five Year Plan for Educational Science. The series of teaching materials for teachers of fine arts have become the national model of teaching materials for fine arts education in teachers' colleges. The collection of teachers' works has been included in the Chinese Contemporary Artists Book Department. Students' works have won many awards in the national art competitions, including many gold awards for paintings and design works of the national college students' art performances, gold awards for the national academic year of environmental art design in colleges and universities, and more than 30 patents for design products. With the improvement of our academic status and the expansion of social influence, the "Third National Art College Dean Summit Forum" and the "Sino Russian National Year Oil Painters Exhibition" were successfully held in our college, and the "First Chinese Celestial Oil Painters Exhibition" by the creation team of Shenyang Normal University was exhibited in Beijing.
   

In recent years, the college has achieved joint training with foreign universities such as Moscow Normal University in Russia and Kyoto Communication University in Japan. In September 2009, our school cooperated with Japan Asahi Shinjin Co., Ltd. to carry out undergraduate education and graduate education.
