Textile Machinery In The First Half Of Spain

Spanish textile machinery exports increased by 39.5% in the first half of this year (2011), including 34% in Europe, mainly in France, Italy, Portugal and Germany, followed by 21% in Asia, mainly in India and Mainland China, followed by 16% in Latin America, mainly in Mexico and Brazil, and 13% in the middle East, including Iran and Syria.


To (2010) Spanish textile machinery import amount of 229 million 190 thousand euros, mainly imported washing machines, driers and other mechanical components (Hscode84509000/84519000), accounting for about 63%; export amount of 177 million 950 thousand euros, the main export rope machine, dryer, ironing machine parts, washing machine parts, dryer, spinning machine and other auxiliary machinery, textile machinery trade deficit 51 million 250 thousand euros.


More than 80 Textile Machinery Companies in Spain, mainly in Catalan autonomous region, account for 56%, with over 2 employees and 238 million euros in revenue. The main manufacturers include: Electro-Jet, MasiasMaquinaria, GaliInternacional, ValentinriusClapers, etc.


The International Textile Machinery Exhibition (ITMA-InternationalTextileMachineryExhibition) will be held in Barcelona in from September 22nd to 29th this year. There are 1300 exhibitors from 45 countries. For the exhibition products, the color printing machine accounted for 30%, the spinning machine accounted for 15%, the loom machine accounted for 14% and the knitting machine accounted for 12%.


In addition, various industrial and mechanical exhibitions are held every year in Spain, including the exhibition of bier bag machine exhibition (BIEMH), industrial exhibition (CumbreIndustrialyTecnol GICA), Barcelona Machinery Exhibition (MAQUITEC) and rubber plastic Exhibition (EQUIPLAST).
