Haines Research Institute Of Germany Opens Textile Testing Center In Hongkong

Founded in 1946, Haines Research Institute is an international center dedicated to the research, testing and certification of textile materials and products. It also includes field inspection services for production equipment. The Haines Research Institute hopes to set up a branch office in Hong Kong to meet the needs of Asian customers.

Dr Haines Manfred Hirning, managing director of the Hongkong Research Institute (Hongkong), said: "Hongkong has a solid foundation in the research and development of textiles and clothing technology, including local universities and technology support institutions, such as Hongkong of Hong Kong Polytech University.

He said: "we are very pleased to set up a branch in the Hongkong Science Park. For us, this very suitable place, the science park not only has advanced infrastructure, but also has convenient pportation, and is also second to none in geographical environment and professional technology. All these factors make the science park the most advanced and largest research center in mainland China and even in Asia. It is a good location for opening the research room."

The assistant director of investment promotion department, Mr. Dai Weishi, welcomed the establishment of the verification center of the Hongkong Institute in Hong Kong. He said: "the government of the Hongkong Special Administrative Region is committed to building the brand of" Hongkong testing and Hongkong certification ". It is determined to develop Hongkong into a testing and Certification Center in the region. The policy will benefit the development of the industry and expand the testing, inspection and planning for Hong Kong.
