After a year's preparation, from August 1st this year New national standard for textile products All the technical contents will be mandatory. Reporters yesterday interviewed that, because the buffer period is long enough, the impact of formal clothing enterprises will not be too great.

clothing Enterprises pay more attention to raw material safety

Reporters learned from the Fujian provincial Fiber Inspection Bureau yesterday that the national basic safety technical specification for textile products, which was originally implemented in August 1, 2011, will be implemented in August 1st this year after a year's delay. At that time, this version will replace the current 2003 edition standard and become a new national mandatory standard. Textile products that do not conform to the new national standard will prohibit production, sale and import.

Compared with the 2003 edition, the new standard has significant changes in the following aspects: first, the age range of infant textile products is expanded from "24 months or below 80 centimeters" to "36 months or 100 centimeters below"; two is more stringent control over toxic and harmful substances; three is the extension of baby products and direct contact with skin products, and puts forward higher requirements for the quality of new products.

The implementation of the new national standard has been improved. Textile market The entry threshold will enable textile and garment enterprises to strengthen the management of suppliers of raw materials, strengthen the control of clothing quality and safety from the source, and provide consumers with higher security. "After the implementation of the new standards, all products that are not produced according to the new standards will be banned from sale in the market, so textile enterprises should adjust raw material purchase and production strategy as soon as possible."

City clothing association and City Textile Industry Association reminded that clothing enterprises should inspect suppliers' products when purchasing raw materials, so as not to cause the finished products to be returned due to the unqualified fabric. "There are already environmentally friendly textile auxiliaries on the market which can be used by garment enterprises instead. The new standard will force more and more textile and garment enterprises to select qualified suppliers of raw materials, so as to improve the quality and safety of products.

In order to meet the new standards, the relevant departments are also well prepared. In view of the contents of the new national standard, Fujian Fiber Inspection Bureau has organized more than 20 laboratories in the province with testing conditions, and some laboratories in other provinces and foreign countries have been tested and compared so as to improve the accuracy and comparability of the test data.

  Infant clothing is most affected.

Compared with the old national standard, the new national standard significantly expanded the range of infant clothing and improved the quality index. Children's clothing from 2 to 3 years old was divided from children group to baby child group, and from B clothing to category a clothing. This means that the children's clothing, aged 2 to 3, which was produced in accordance with the old national standard, should be disposed of after August 1st.

Reporters yesterday visited a large number of children's clothing counters of large department stores in Rongcheng, and found that the newly produced children's clothing began to implement the new standard. The reporter saw several famous children's clothing brand counters, 1 to 3 years old clothing was labeled as infant clothing, and on the tag, the clothing was tested in accordance with a class standard. "Since the implementation time of the new national standard has been postponed for a year, the enterprises have basically digested the children's clothing that does not conform to the new national standard 2 to 3 years old, which is in line with the B level standard, so enterprises should be very relaxed in dealing with the new national standard." City clothing association said.

However, reporters also found that in some wholesale clothing market, a considerable number of children's clothing has no tag. Insiders say that the new GB is compulsory, and the regular manufacturers will produce according to the new national standard. But for some small factories, the production cost of children's clothing will be raised, so they do not attach much importance to the new GB. In fact, the relevant departments need to strengthen supervision.
