Referring to the "future blueprint" of rural electricity providers, Alibaba group COO Zhang Yong said that Alibaba will build up its operation system, strengthen logistics, do well in infrastructure construction, activate the ecosystem, train more buyers, sellers and service providers, and help farmers increase their incomes, increase their jobs and achieve new urbanization.

The development of rural e-commerce and the confidence and expectation of the rural consumer market are the reasons why Alibaba poured huge amounts of money into the rural market.

According to the insiders, the growth rate of the urban online shopping market is slowing down after the scale of China's online shopping market has exceeded one trillion, and the rural market has become the new engine for the next round of electricity supplier growth.

In addition, according to Ali Research Institute, the rural online shopping market will reach more than 180 billion in 2014, and will exceed 460 billion in 2016, and will continue to narrow the gap between urban online shopping and urban online shopping.

In October 2014, Alibaba announced that the group will launch a thousand village million village plan, investing 10 billion yuan in three to five years, and establishing 1000 county-level operation centers and 100 thousand village level service stations.

This means that Alibaba will sink the supply chain to the rural market, and in the next few years, it will cover its e-commerce network to the top 1/3 counties and 1/6 of the rural areas in the form of offline service entities.

Recently, Alibaba has signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the Guangdong Provincial People's government. The two sides will cooperate in the area of e-commerce, cloud computing and big data, cross-border e-commerce, intelligent logistics backbone network and so on.

Ma Yun said: "our rural e-commerce will make farmers more convenient and more efficient in solving e-commerce problems, making it easier for him to buy things and to sell things more conveniently."

At the moment, the electric business is following the footsteps of the traditional department store, and quickly rush to the three or four line city and the rural market, which has made more new problems for the traditional department store which was already very "big".
