Filament Weaving70 YearsDevelopment Record

From ancient times to now, the textile industry has not only solved the "dressing problem" of one of the four major demands for generations, but also become an indispensable part of economic development. Among them, the filament weaving industry, with its unique advantages, has developed rapidly in the 40 years of reform and opening up, and has become a new force in the rise of foreign forces in the textile industry.

From the beginning to the 40 years of reform and opening up and the great moment of 70 years since the founding of new China, what are the legendary stories of the mutually complementary development and growth of the filament weaving industry and China's textile industry?

Pioneers of reform, entrepreneurs of the first generation of filament weaving rose.

From the beginning of the founding of new China to the very long period after the third Plenary Session of the 11th CPC Central Committee 1978, the party and the state are constantly deepening their understanding of the relationship between the plan and the market. In October 12, 1992, the report of the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of China formally put forward: "the goal of China's economic restructuring is to establish a socialist market economic system." Then private economy and township enterprises rose rapidly, and the development of market economy greatly promoted the development of private economy and regional economy. The enterprises that have grown up have become the initial force to promote the development of the industry.

The constant force of development, the unchanged mind. In the town of Shengze, Wujiang District, Suzhou, Chen Jianhua, who was young in the silk industry, has already had millions of assets by the age of 20, because of her passion for the textile industry and her outstanding personal ability. In 1994, he leaped all risks and pressures to buy the Wujiang chemical fiber weaving factory, a town run enterprise that was on the verge of bankruptcy, and became the first batch of private entrepreneurs in the reform and opening up. There are 104 silk looms, 8 winding machines, 35 twisting machines and 4 thread splicing machines. These are the original equipment of Wujiang chemical fiber weaving factory.

After 25 years of development, this small factory has a world-famous name Hengli Group. So far, the textile industry is still the warmest part of Hengli people's mind. The group's Wujiang chemical fiber weaving factory, Jiangsu de Shun Textile Co., Ltd., Jiangsu Edward Textile Co., Ltd. and Jiangsu Boda Textile Co., Ltd. are constantly developing and growing, and are widely known in the textile industry. Chen Jianhua made great contributions to the construction of new China with the success of Hengli Group. He has taken the responsibility of Jianhua, and Hengli Group has contributed a lot to the development of China's chemical fiber filament weaving.

Brave in innovation, Han Tong Tong Bai Tong. In 1997, under the influence of the financial turmoil, the Wujiang Oriental silk dyeing and printing factory closed down, and the workers were faced with laid-off predicament. Qian Aling, 43, was one of them. Faced with embarrassment, she led her family from a more than 20 square meter fabric shop. Two years later, she was keen to capture the broad prospects of the filament fabric market. He bought 23 machines with her husband Shen Hanyong, and founded the Wujiang Han Tong silk jet weaving mill.

In 2002, she bought more than 70 air-jet looms at one go, and began to produce more high-grade jet fabrics. The market responded enthusiastically and achieved certain results, but she did not stop the pace of innovation. In 2004, she went all out to develop new products. After repeated attempts, she finally won the market recognition. When buying air-jet looms, she bought the dobby jacquard loom predictfully, and jacquard looms were put into use when guests asked to add jacquard effect on the basis of their original fabrics. This unique insight made Han Tong grow fearless and develop rapidly. Today, Wujiang Haotong Textile Co., Ltd. / Wujiang Haotong silk jet weaving factory is one of the professional manufacturers of filament fabrics. It has the world's leading equipment, products and technology, with a daily output of one hundred thousand meters, and its products are exported to all parts of the world.

It is precisely because a large number of pioneers of reform have grasped the pulse of the times and pioneered their courage that the development of China's filament weaving industry has been promoted and a new chapter in the history of China's textile industry has been unveiled.

Long silk road is long, industry seeks and seeks development.

Shengze town in Wujiang District of Jiangsu province is a famous silk capital. Since the middle of Ming Dynasty, the silk industry has gradually concentrated on Shengze town and its surrounding towns. Today, Shengze has an important position and influence in the chemical fiber weaving industry. In 2018, the output of chemical fiber filament fabric in Shengze town reached 9 billion 654 million meters, ranking first in the main industrial cluster of long silk weaving. From natural silk to chemical fiber is an important choice for Shengze to continue and develop in a stronger and more varied form after years of baptism. Today, it is also the right choice.

The silk industry in Shengze has a long history and has a good foundation for silk production and processing. However, in the early days of the founding of new China, thousands of looms in the silk industry were basically at a standstill. By the end of 1952, with the help and support of the government and two state-run commercial organizations, more than 1000 electric looms in Shengze had started more than 700 units, and production slowly recovered. In the textile industry of Shengze, there are still a lot of retail investors. There are only 1~2 looms, which are small and scattered. The local government has merged these small production units into a joint venture organization after investigation. The initial transformation has focused on the funds and personnel of the textile industry, making it easier to manage, supervise and allocate tasks. In addition, a handicraft industry trade union was set up to manage hundreds of manual weaving households in the town.

In 1954, the local government followed the instructions of the public and private joint ventures and began to guide them in a socialist way. In 1955, Wang Yusheng, the largest new silk weaving factory in Wujiang's weaving industry, first applied to the government for public-private partnership, which promoted the integration of the local weaving industry. After the propaganda, study and organization, the socialist transformation of the textile industry was completed in late 1956. In 1958, the silk production in Shengze exceeded the cotton textile production, ending the 11 year cotton dominance in Shengze. It can be said that from the early liberation to the late 50s, the silk weaving industry in Shengze was in the stage of recovery and adjustment. Under the leadership of the party and the support of the government, the cadres, workers and management personnel worked together to make Shengze's silk weaving industry get rid of the difficult position and embark on the right track of development.

The birth and birth of chemical fiber filament weaving industry

After 1978 and the third Plenary Session of the 11th CPC Central Committee, with the deepening of reform and opening up, people have a new understanding of the market economy. In 1982, the twelve put forward the principle of mainly planned economy and supplemented by market regulation. Wujiang's domestic silk business gradually shifted from planned distribution, system allocation to multi-channel circulation, and Wujiang silk production immediately turned to the business principle of planning commodities as the main market and merchandise as auxiliary. With the spread of Shengze silk weaving technology to the whole county, township enterprises flourished.

In 70s and 80s twentieth Century, the chemical fiber filament was cheap and durable, and weaving difficulty was relatively low. The chemical fiber filament weaving industry gradually developed in Shengze. However, at that time, chemical fiber filament mostly relied on imports, and raw materials became tense, which restricted the development of filament weaving industry.

At the end of 1982, the local government decided to develop the synthetic fiber project and designated the new silk weaving factory to build it. In 1985, the new silk mill's chemical fiber workshop was put into operation, producing 150D polyester filament and false twist silk, filling the gap in the county. With the local government's emphasis on the synthetic fiber project, by the end of 1993, there were 5 synthetic fiber factories in the local city and township enterprises, producing all kinds of synthetic filament yarns. With the continuous development of the market and economy, the chemical fiber weaving industry has grown up and become stronger and stronger in Shengze.

The rise of chemical fiber filament weaving industry

With the development of the market and the increasing demand for chemical filament, the filament of Shengze gradually shifted from natural filament to chemical filament. Under the guidance of hard working enterprisers such as Chen Jianhua and Qian Ling, a number of chemical fiber weaving enterprises have gradually risen.

At first, a company succeeded in doing some textile products, and led the neighbors and the surrounding towns to follow up. Slowly, in the process of rural urbanization, a considerable number of small and medium-sized enterprises were distributed in a certain area, forming a spontaneous enterprise community, and gradually forming a pattern of "one place, one product". With the reputation and influence of the silk fabric, Shengze gradually developed into a trading center which is mainly composed of chemical fiber raw materials, chemical fiber filament fabrics and textile machinery and accessories. Today, the textile industry in Shengze has become an industrial chain from chemical fiber spinning, weaving, printing and dyeing, fabric processing to garment manufacturing, and a supporting system integrating R & D, production, sales, logistics and services.

The Shengze people's pursuit of textiles stems from the long history of the development of natural silk. The acceptance and tolerance, exploration and innovation of chemical filament and weaving industry have enabled them to develop rapidly and expand in the new textile environment, and have achieved today's flourishing age in Shengze.

The development of Shengze's filament weaving industry can be said to be a microcosm of the development of China's entire filament weaving industry. The spirit of the textile industry has made Shengze's textile industry a success today. Similarly, this spirit also shows us a grand occasion in other old textile areas. Wang Jiang Jing Town, Xiuzhou District of Jiaxing City, Zhejiang Province, the famous hometown of overseas Chinese in Jinjiang, Longhu Town, Fujian, etc., under the guidance and support of the party and the government, broke the tradition and innovating, and actively developed the weaving industry of filament yarn, becoming the earliest cluster in the weaving industry.

It is noteworthy that under the influence and radiation of the cluster, the textile industry in the surrounding area has developed further, and has been co operating with the cluster and winning together, forming a new cluster in some areas.

New development of chemical fiber filament weaving industry

In recent years, the silk weaving industry aims at achieving the high quality development of "science, technology, fashion and green". While developing, many enterprises have consciously put water conservation and pollution reduction as the focus of work, and the government of the cluster has strongly supported it. Nevertheless, before and after 2017, the production capacity of silk weaving in Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Fujian and Guangdong provinces has been difficult to increase due to resources such as land, water, electricity and employment.

The silk weaving industry and enterprises soon sniffed the advantages of textile resources in the central and western regions of Henan, Anhui, Jiangxi and Hubei, and gradually began to shift with the support and help of the government, and achieved initial results. At present, the silk weaving industry accepts Henan, Zhoukou, Taikang, Hubei, Huanggang and so on. The local government has unified planning for the advanced nature of energy saving, emission reduction, sewage treatment and technology and equipment, combined with the experience of the development of the weaving industry in the original industrial cluster area.

The transfer of the filament industry from the southeast coast to the central and western parts of the country can make better use of the abundant resources in the central and western regions and further reduce the production cost of filament weaving. Jiangsu Province, as a major textile Province, is aware of the imbalance in the development of textile industry in South of Jiangsu and Northern Jiangsu and the resource superiority in Northern Jiangsu under the new situation in the process of seeking development. It actively promotes the transfer of South of Jiangsu's filament weaving industry to northern Jiangsu, which is of great significance not only for narrowing the gap between the regional development and achieving a win-win situation, but also providing better development space for the industry. So far, under the guidance and support of the government, Siyang County, Suqian, Yancheng City, Jiangsu, Dafeng District, Yancheng City and Haian have already undertaken part of the filament weaving industry and developed rapidly.

The industry has been exploring for a long time. Nowadays, the weaving industry of chemical fiber has entered the flourishing age. But the industry will keep abreast of the trend of the times and the trend of development, adjust the pace at any time, and seek long-term development.

Dream of China

In the world's largest international light textile professional market, Keqiao China Light Textile City, chemical fiber filament fabrics and products account for a large proportion. Chemical fiber filament fabric has many kinds, excellent performance and wide application fields. It provides an important support for the wide and excellent quality of light textile city. Taking a look at China's flourishing textile and garment market, filament weaving industry is outstanding and indispensable.

As a new industry, chemical fiber filament weaving started quietly in China in 1980s. After 40 years of exploration and development, it made remarkable achievements. In 2000, the output of China's filament woven fabrics was only 4 billion 100 million meters. By 2018, the total output of China's chemical filament fabrics reached 50 billion 800 million meters, with an average annual growth rate of over 15%. It is one of the fastest growing textile industries, meeting the varied and varied domestic needs. The export volume of China's chemical filament fabrics has increased since 2012, reaching 15 billion 9 million meters in 2018, and accumulative total export volume of US $13 billion 821 million, which has made an important contribution to export earning foreign exchange.

The filament weaving industry has made remarkable progress in its own development, and has also promoted the development of textile upstream and downstream industries. In 2018, China's fiber processing total 54 million 600 thousand tons, of which 46 million 710 thousand tons of chemical fiber, 32 million tons of chemical fiber filament, and 19 million 200 thousand tons for filament weaving industry. It can be seen that fiber accounts for 35% of the total textile fiber processing, providing a continuous market power for the high quality development of China's chemical fiber industry.

China's chemical fiber filament weaving industry has developed from a nascent industry to a star industry and leading industry in China's textile industry, and has made important contributions to China's development. As textile people, we are grateful and proud. We firmly believe that the future of filament weaving industry is bright.

2019 is the 70th anniversary founding of new China and 40 years of reform and opening up. China has developed into an Oriental power that attracts the world's attention. As our mother industry, textile has never stopped in the 70 years of ups and downs. Today, our goal of "textile power" has basically been achieved, but we will not stop here. We must continue to contribute to today's "China dream".
