Industrial textiles are structural and functional textile materials and products used in industries, agriculture, infrastructure, health care, environmental protection and other fields. They are an important part of the new material industry, an important direction of high-end textile industry, and the focus of global textile technology innovation. They are characterized by high technology content, wide application range, and huge market demand, It is a category of national industrial structure adjustment and strategic emerging industries to encourage development.

Industrial textiles in Hebei Province have a good industrial foundation. At the end of the 1980s, Hebei Province was able to produce 12 types of industrial textiles in all 16 categories. At present, the main products of industrial textiles in the province are nonwovens, textile belts, canvas, silk screen, industrial felt, etc., and there are global famous characteristic industrial clusters such as Anping silk screen, Nangong felt, etc. In recent years, the scale of Hebei industrial textile industry has been expanding, the equipment level has been improving, the technology progress has achieved remarkable results, and the application fields have been expanding. Hebei Meltblown Nonwovens Technology Innovation Center, Hebei Metal Fiber Textiles Technology Innovation Center, Hebei Spunlaced Nonwovens Technology Innovation Center Hebei Military Textile Manufacturing Technology Innovation Center, Hebei Carbon Fiber Technology Innovation Center, Hebei Carbon Fiber Industry Technology Research Institute, Hebei Sling Engineering Technology Research Center, Hebei Protective Clothing Industry Technology Research Institute, Hebei Emergency Protective Fabric Industry Technology Research Institute Hebei Provincial Key Laboratory of Functional Protective Materials for Occupational Equipment and other scientific research platforms.

Hebei Textile and Clothing Industry Association established the Industrial Textiles Branch to implement the Guiding Opinions on High Quality Development of Industrial Textiles Industry issued by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the National Development and Reform Commission, and accelerate the transformation and upgrading of industrial textiles in Hebei to high-end, digital, green and service-oriented.
