After several rounds of assessment, such as initial assessment, reappraisal, brand assessment, practical ability, creative interview and so on, finally 30 excellent designers were selected for the finals.

As an important part of the discovery plan of China's outstanding women's wear designers implemented by the Hangzhou municipal government, the China International Women's costume designer Grand Prix, based on the "discovery plan", faces the whole country and aims to nurture mature designers. Every year, a group of outstanding designers are selected to go to Europe's first class design school for one to two years of further education.
